What We Stand For
As a member organization of GAIA, we oppose false solutions to the waste crisis: tactics that delay real action while protecting polluters. These include chemical recycling of plastics, incineration including so-called “waste-to-energy,” autoclaves, bioplastics, direct air capture, nuclear power, sewage sludge-derived biochar and soil amendments, land spreading of sewage sludge, and mail-in recycling schemes like TerraCycle.
Our work is rooted in real zero waste: reduction, reuse, repair, community care, environmental justice, and public accountability.
